Derry is one of the most intelligent people I’ve ever met and has used this to exponentially grow throughout his founder & CEO journey at OneUp Sales. I had the pleasure of working with Derry for almost 6 years, and saw him go from strength to strength, becoming a leader that others in the business can look up to and feel inspired by. Derry is extremely personable and down to earth, encouraging an open culture where anyone can ask questions or challenge things without judgment - this is something I personally valued massively during my time at OneUp. He is extremely driven, not afraid to roll up his sleeves and get into the weeds, but also able to have fun along the way and encourage those around him to do so too. OneUp is an excellent place to work, and this is a testament to how much Derry has poured into making the company what it is today.

It’s incredibly refreshing to work with a CEO who is comfortable with being vulnerable about what he doesn’t know and always championing the ideas of others in the team. He is always open to ideas and suggestions and takes being challenged with grace. I’ve always been able to provide candid feedback and I always see the tangible result of his efforts to grow from it. One of my favorite core principles of Derry’s is transparency. There’s little he doesn’t share with the team; this has had a profound impact on the culture at OneUp. Derry has always supported me through my various endeavors at OneUp. He’s been an excellent mentor to me over the years helping shape me into the product guy I am today. I’ve been through some pretty low points at times as well and he has been nothing but supportive to me. I can say with complete conviction that I would value the opportunity to work with Derry again in the future (obviously with me as CEO this time).
